What is Tai Chi?
In specific contexts, Tai Chi refers to codified martial arts systems. Many systems are associated with family styles such as Chen 陳, Sun 孫, Wu 吳, Wu(Hao) 武(郝), and Yang 楊. Over time, martial arts have been adapted for health promotion, fitness, and lifelong exercise. Today, Tai Chi is widely practiced to support a variety of health needs and improve overall well-being.
In a broader sense, Tai Chi represents a concept in martial arts focused on finding methods that optimize the flow of force through mass and acceleration. My goal is to develop a martial art system inspired by my background in physical rehabilitation. Learn more about this here.
